Supporting people with severe illness and complex disabilities

by funding lifesaving medications and treatments not covered by the Health Ministry package.

About us

Chance Letikva Association was established by a group of volunteers working in hospitals. Our activities led us to noticing the growing need for backup support for patients and their families when dealing with severe crisis, beyond the medical care these patients were receiving. Patients needed a backup network, medications, assistance with lodgings, and often lacked funds for medical flights and operations abroad, or expensive medications not included in the Health Ministry package..

Supporting patient and family

Chance Letikva understands that medical care is hampered without this backup network. The added assistance we provide is key to the patient’s successful treatment. When the patient’s family is impacted by a lack of basic sustenance, the patient is unable to heal. We are all about expanding social giving. Chance Letikva teams review each case thoroughly as we seek the optimal form of assistance. That is the drive behind our social initiative.

Life Saving Projects

Give Muhi a chance

Children make fun of me, they think that because I have no arms and legs I have no heart! “

I want to live like everyone else. And like me there are other children who suffer from the same disability.

We want to live like everyone else!

We don’t deserve to give up on our dreams just because we don’t have money.

Please, give us a chance, don’t ignore!

"Suri is looking at me with pleading eyes"

Suri was born with a rare condition.
Unlike all of us, she was born without heart chambers.
It is a very dangerous condition that threatens her life. Suri will not be able to continue living this way. Every passing day is critical for her.
There is a special surgery that can treat her condition. The family doesn’t have the money to pay in order to give Suri a new life.
Help Suri continue the life she has barely started

Post on Nehama

“I got to the point where I’m scared to go to bed because I do not know how I’d get up in the morning…”

Meet Nehama, a 29-year-old woman who one day after having strange back pain, got up in the morning and found that her legs were not responding, and after a brief time she had another seizure that paralyzed her arms.

The disease is rare and the diagnosis lasted two years. Nehama is the only one in Israel with this disease and therefore the treatment of the disease is not recognized in the health basket, Nehama fell between the cracks!

Do not leave anyone behind!

Our activities

Funding lifesaving medical care

The Chance Letikva team helps make medication and treatment funding available to patients and their families, as well as comprehensive medical support starting from in-depth study of the patient’s medical file to locating suitable medical staff in Israel and abroad. We also support with funding for tests, treatments, importing hard-to-find medication, and medical flights abroad to the optimal location offering lifesaving treatment

Getting past bureaucracy and language barriers

We focus on shortcutting bureaucratic processes and investing exerted effort in speeding up these processes, because we know that a family coping with severe illness lacks the time and energy to handle these issues, especially when they lack in-depth information and may also experience language barriers.
